when he need not await their reply before removing his name to the books of such University institution; but will in all other respects continue to be bound by the former regulations
The time of Examination will be within the first fourteen days of the month of November.
12. The first Examination will take place in November, 1841 and due notice of it will be given in the Gazette.
13. The Board of Examiners will be formed of the Inspector of Schools and three Examiners.
14. The subjects with the maximum marks attached, will be the following:
Subjects Maximum Marks English Grammar 100 English Composition 200 English Literature 150 English History 150 Geography 100 Arithmetic 100 Algebra 100 Euclid or Mensuration or both 100 Latin 75 Chemistry 100Either Euclid or Mensuration or both may be offered instead, and will be allowed 100 marks each.
15. No candidate will be elected who fails to get 400 marks in the four English subjects together.
