Confirmation of Proclamation No. 9 of 1883, form giving powers to the Governor to make regulations enforcing effectual precautions in the Colony against the introduction and spread of cholera in Hong Kong, and you will, if you see fit, lose no time in availing yourself of those powers should the necessity arise.
I trust that, looking to the advanced season of the year, there is no great immediate danger of the spread of the disease next year, but any recurrence should be carefully watched.
