I have the honour, by direction of His Excellency, the administrator, to acknowledge the receipt of your Letter No.234 of the 16th instant informing
that, if the ordinance with reference to the shipping of seamen, which I quoted in my Letter No.755 of the 12th instant, were not enforced, more seamen could be shipped on American ships in this Colony.
