The Volunteers are gentlemen who chiefly can appreciate a good aim, and the fact of their being armed with the best weapon, not only increased their efficiency, but is a stimulant towards learning their drills and duties.

To be used when the number of items required is small; or when articles not comprised in the several forms of requisition drawn up in extenso, viz., Army Forms G. 820, G. 952, G. 1041, G. 1012, G. 888, and G. 1047, late W. O. Forms 443, 452, 469, 508, 1528, and 1529, are required, or in case of not being in possession of any of the foregoing W. O. Forms.
REQUIRED for the Hong Kong Volunteers under my command the under-mentioned articles, which I certify are herein demanded in accordance with regulation.
