On the 14th instant the Duke of Buccleuch landed her passengers with the exception of four sick Chinese, who were left at Quarantine Station; and proceeded to Singapore. Intimation was immediately sent by telegraph to the authorities at Singapore, so that they will be fully informed of the circumstances of the case, before the arrival of Duke at that port.

There have been in all eleven (11) deaths among the passengers by the Duke and one from the crew of the Longyar. Of the former, five (5) were doubtful cases, and two appear to have succumbed to the disease.
