Out-lets for foul air will be provided at the level of the ceilings by letting in iron flue tubes into the concrete, and passing them out through the main walls to a sufficient elevation. Water will be supplied to the building for domestic purposes and for fire extinction from four cisterns to be placed on the roof; in addition to these, the Mount Davis supply main will afford, when the Salt Waterworks are completed, an ample supply for any emergency.
As there are no night classes, gas will only be laid on to the Lecture Hall for public occasions.
11. Owing to the limited dimensions of the grounds, it has not been possible to find room for a Head Master's residence on the premises. A Master's House could only have been added at the expense of the playground, which is already somewhat small.
As I understand, however, that great stress is laid on having the Head Master's quarters close to the School...
