The pleasure with which people regard the suppression of sly-brothels.
The establishment of brothels is undoubtedly a pitfall whereby to ensnare people. Sly-prothels too are a pitfall, but a pitfall secretly prepared.
My brothels in Hong Kong are a pitfall secretly prepared and bottomless into which if one should happen to let slip his foot he is irrecoverably lost.
Not only do these sly-brothels ruin men, but also women.
Ought they not therefore to be suppressed with more than extra vigour in this Colony.
Registered brothels are under Government control, and all who become prostitutes must in the first instance repair to the Registrar General's Department to have themselves registered, where they are questioned
