3. At the time when I made this representation, Ind. Wodehouse, was Chief Clerk in the Colonial Secretary's Office, and W. Cravens was also a Clerk in the same Office. H.D. Brouchonse is now Police Magistrate - Should the Mr. Travers to the Police be sanctioned by the Secretary of State, there will not be a single Ingurahman left in the Department to assist me. The present Chief Clerk to Mr. Arathorn is of Indo-Armenian descent, who was born in this Colony; and the others are all Portuguese, Natives of Macao.
