in the nature of a Private Bill, is necessary for the acquisition by the Crown of the land and houses referred to. For all leases granted by the Colonial Government
contain a proviso that lands required for public purposes shall be resumed on
payment of fair
compensation, and valuation to
be made by the Surveyor General.

The proper course to be pursued by the Major General Commanding is to specify the lands required to be resumed for military purposes; when the Surveyor General will be directed to
make
thereof in accordance with the
the terms of the leases. The required notice
of re-entry (three calendar months) will be given by the Colonial Government on behalf of the Crown & the Major General shall express a wish to that effect
