The death of Mr Jonnochy, although sudden, was not wholly unexpected, and I feel the Government has lost in him a good superintendent and the Government a good Officer.
I have great pleasure in testifying to the good conduct of the Gaol Officers, and to thank the acting Warden Mr Jones and the officers generally, for their readiness at all times to assist me in carrying out the arduous duties of my position as acting superintendent.
