members, or others to be appointed in their place, with the proviso that Unofficials are never to be more than four in number.
At present there are three Unofficial members: -
Mr. Price, (Surveyor General)
Mr. Rennie
Mr. Johnson,
and there is room for a provisional appointment to fill the fourth seat.
It is only by filling that seat that the Registrar General (Mr. Stewart) can sit in the Council, according to its present constitution, or until the Governor receives fresh Instructions under the Sign Manual and Signet.
