2. The plans have just been completed by The Surveyor General; but the Head Master (M. Wright) desires some Modifications. When these have been fully discussed, I will submit the plans for Your Lordship's approval.

3. Your despatch, in reply to our despatch now under reference, refers to the five new Schools recommended by the Commission on Education. They are the same as those the construction of which was sanctioned by Sir M. Stubbs Beach. I am informed, however, that they could not now be built for The original Estimate, £7000 being the price of skilled labour has of late risen considerably.

4. I have visited the Existing Central School, which certainly is very deficient in both space and arrangements, and also the site proposed for the new one, which is to the best of my belief the best site available.

5. With regard to the Students living in the building, and the Supervision of the Normal School, (which is on a temporary arrangement), and other Matters connected with it, I Annex a report from the Head Master which gives some curious and interesting particulars.
