the expiration of each term of either five years, he will not be entitled to those three months' pay of his rank by way of bonus. Should he be in the service on completion of his term, he will continue in the service till his final retirement on pension according to the rules.
180 days' favourable service will be conceded to each constable on joining the Force.
The civil service of the Colony will be taken into account. Should a constable be compelled to retire through ill health brought about by the service, a gratuity of one month's pay for each year of service will be granted.
12. Leave with pay will be granted to provide for rest. The rule is six hours off duty in every twenty-four hours. Such regulations may be issued by the Colonial Government with the approval of the Secretary of State.
