That the duties, responsibilities, and actual labour which will fall upon the Registrar personally have not been diminished by the increase of staff.
That after deduction of the heavy sums to be paid for premia on life Insurance, Guarantee Society for security, and medical attendance, the balance is a very insufficient remuneration for the duties performed, and is just sufficient for bare existence.
Wherefore your memorialist humbly prays that your Lordship, taking these statements into consideration, would be pleased to grant to him, as from the 1st instant, an additional salary at the rate of One thousand and two hundred Dollars per annum.
