One of the chief reasons for advocating the separation of the Office of Head Master of the English School, Johore, from that of Inspector of Schools was that the Corporation would enable it to exercise the necessary supervision over the masters and to speak sufficiently with them to draw them to the proper discharge of their duties. In addition to this, the managers should be cognizant of their responsibilities while lending an ear to their grievances and giving due supervision to the Inspector. This should not be the situation of affairs in this colony as it is at present quite unique, and it requires all the attention of parties concerned, Masters, managers, and Inspector, to bring about the ameliorations and improvements which the case requires.
