Ah Shui, Clerk of the Wo Ki Company, says they sent by the S.S. "City of Peking" 156 Cases of 500 bricks = 48 Chests Crude Opium, that they have been sending fortnightly that much, and that they send almost as much to Australia! Some sold by them is smuggled, and is sold to the Californian Merchants. They had asked to be allowed to send a lot after the 18th of the month!!
