Article 8t The prepared opium of the different shops must be put in tins at seate of 9. 9.8. Each tin must contain the net weight of 4 taels and q haoe of pure (prepared) opium - If any tin be found to be more or less in weight than the weight specified above, the same shall be confiscated to this (Sun I') Company for breach of this Company's regulations.

Article * 6 The opium boiled and prepared by the different shops (the seven contracting shops) shall be put in tins and packed in cases before delivery to this (Sun I') Company when the price shall be fixed by a committee held for the purpose and the price so fixed on the prepared opium of the seven shops must be all alike. After the price is fixed, the chests will be delivered over to Companies which will undertake to sell them in the Golden Ports (Australia and California) at a rate which shall be fixed by themselves. (It is agreed) that no higher or lower price shall be allowed to be charged to customers no matter what chop of opium the customers may prefer to buy. No adulterated opium shall be allowed to be prepared and sold and no other vile practices will be allowed.

Article 10th For boiling every chest of crude opium the (Sun I') Company shall pay to the seven shops the sum of $40 as money for labor, opium skins, and charcoal. To matter whether more or less opium be boiled by any of the seven shops, the amount allowed for labor and charcoal as well as the opium skins, shall be put together and divided into eight (8) shares of which the Chop Hing (Co.) shall be entitled to three and Gan Hoe (Co.) entitled to five shares to be reckoned by the respective Company and the cash received by this (Sun I') Company shall all be delivered over to and be sold by this Company.

For the sake of saving and curtailing expenses, two or three of the seven shops may occupy one house or ship together but the proceeds from the opium skins and charcoal shall be divided alike into eight (8) shares of which the Chop Hing (Co.) shall be entitled to three and the Gan Hoe (Co.) entitled to five shares.
