The only point in this document which appears to me to call for especial remark is the statement of the Bishop that the old School premises realised only $12,000 instead of $14,500 stated by the Surveyor General. The explanation of this discrepancy is that a Mortgage for $2,500 existed on the old premises which had to be paid off when their sale was effected for $14,500, a fact of which the Surveyor General was not aware at the time he reported.
The actual cost of the new school including furniture and fittings will therefore be $16,900 instead of $14,400 as stated in my previous Dispatch.
