Excellency and approved by the Home Government. I am directed by His Lordship to petition the Government for a building grant. The building has been estimated to cost not less than $20,000, and the ground which will be reserved for the use of the school has been valued at $5,000, which makes our total $25,000. I am directed by His Lordship to ask for half of the amount, as it is granted by the new scheme. His Lordship is willing to submit to the conditions provided by the scheme on behalf of the Government, provided the scheme will not be changed, in which case His Lordship reserves to himself the right of retiring the school from the supervision of the Government. In consideration however of the building grant which is supported will be given by Government. It is His Lordship's will never use the building for any purpose, except for education.
