Reporting, in reply to your enquiries &c. He : your letter dated 12th January, states that in an ordinary case where the leading marks were new on the document by your Clerk, that would be all that could properly be required.
And that, since there are already registered leading marks in another name (the name of the old Firm) so nearly resembling the mark in question in almost every particular, it would be undesirable that clients should furnish an affidavit embodying the statement contained in your letter of 2nd August 1882.
