CIRCULAR.

SIR,

Downing Street,

22nd September, 1882.

I have the honour to inform you that a set of Tide Tables are being

prepared at the Nautical Almanac Office, in London, for the Government of

Hong Kong at a cost of £62 2s. Od. for the first year, and for subsequent years

at an annual cost of £27 2s. Od.

It is expected that these tables will prove of the greatest value

to the Public Works and Harbour Departments of Hong Kong, and as the

expense is not great, it has occurred to me that your Government may think

it worth while to consider the desirability of procuring similar tables, if they

do not already exist in the Colony.

The Officer Administering

the Government of

I have the honour to be,

SIR,

Your most obedient humble Servant,

KIMBERLEY.
