STRICTLY CONFIDENT

HOG KOM, 20th Jept asb:? 1945

To:

C-in-C.

PHOM: John Keswick.

As you know 3. al returning to Chungking with Fr. Wallinger on the 1st üctober as requested by H... Ambassador. I will of course let you know what my future plans are by signal but will also have to refer to Miral Mountbatten.

As I mentioned to you the other day I have prepared a few notes on the position of Chinese Affairs in the Colony. I have written them in a direct style and have also stressed the urgency, perhaps over much so in view of the shortage of man power, but you are the best judge how great an i yortance is attached to the matter.

with your permission I would like to send a copy of my notes to the Ambassador in Chunking, and I think one should go to MacDougall as well.
