enquiry received from the Foreign Office, Colonial Office would be glad to know if Chinese residents are allowed to reauna posuosion of their property if proeviously occupied by the Japanese unless the premises are required by Military Alanistration when it is assumed that rent would be paid. Colonial G22ice would be glad if this could be confirmed.
