OUT FILE FOREIGN OFFICE,

·

17th December, 1945.

Dear Frers,

With reference to your better 9512/81/45 of the 28th November about the passage expenses from the United Kingdom to Denmark of the wives of two repatriated manish members of the Hong Kong Volunteers, and our telephone conversation on this subject, I an writing to confirm that I can see no objection to sending the bill into the Danish Legation, provided that the undertakings to repay are sent too, in order that the Danish Government can ultimately if it wishes recover from its nationals.

We have not as it happens yet received a reply from the Danish Legation to a letter we sent them enquiring if their Government would be prepared to guarantee all expenses of any of their nationals brought back from China.

Yours sincerely

вода

(J.F. Brewis)

D.H.3. Frere, Esq.,
