Mr. Allison of the United States Embassy asked me to-day whether I was yet in a position to give him any reply to the representations he made a little time ago about the entry of American business men into Hong Kong. I said I would look into it without delay.
I should be glad if the reply could be expedited as the State Department are evidently getting a little restive.
