Please see Hongkong signal 0902362 to me repeated to Cabinet Offices for Chiefs of Staff.
2. Air Attache informed me yesterday that he was assured by head of Aeronautical Commission that instructions had already been sent to authorities at Sanar to release personnel immediate- . ly and give refuelling facilities. I so informed Commander-in- Chief.
3. General Carton de Wiart, in accordance with Chiefs of Staff signal 6691 November 9th, is taking the matter up with [? grp. undec.] Generalissimo this afternoon.
4. Meanwhile, unless you see any objection, I would propose to make vigorous protest in the name of His Majesty's Government at this unfriendly action, which is also contrary to international treatment of aircraft in distress.
5. I should be grateful for urgent instructions.
