Request information as to the steps being taken to meet urgent requirements for coal in Hong Kong estimated to be 17000 repeat 17000 tons. per month for essential services only.

Further supplies of coal will be required for coal burning coasters .cxpected to arrive mid October onwards.

Can you investigate through your channels the probability of obtaining coal in Indo China with details of facilities for and rate of loading and restrictions on draught and sizo of ships.
