IMPORTANT.
C. S. Hong Kong. reports electrical power supply from Kowloon failed due to fracture of under water cable. Submarines are supplying dockyard and some essential services at Victoria.
2. Hong Kong Power Station can be made to function when 2,500 tons rising to 5,000 tons coal per month is received.
3. There is at present insufficient power to maintain essential refrigeration. Ammonia gas is also an important requirement.
4.
Further coal requirements are 1,000 tons per month for Pumping Station and 5,000 tons per month for Kowloon Power Station.
5. No ammonia gas is available.
6. 4,500 tons cual in ATLAS should arrive soon.
