The future of the BAAG has

recently been discussed
here with Col Thompson Deputy Chief Civil Affairs Hongkong.
Thompson is anxious to obtain the services of those BAAG
Officers who are selected for employment with Civil Affairs
and who elect to transfer. Full details could not be
worked out here but it is requested that Ride and Thompson
get together as soon as possible in Hongkong and forward
detailed particulars.
TWO.
Thompson is also anxious to employ as many of
the BAAG Chinese Staff as are
for whom work is available.

THREE.
It is requested that the transfer of BAAG personnel
to Civil Affairs be given every consideration but this
transfer should not hinder work now on hand and the smooth
closing down of the BAAG.
