IMMEDIATE

1. Hong Kong Island Situation remains quiet although Jap Executi oner who fell into Chinese hands came to an untimely end.

2. Kowbgen City and Environs. Docks now occupied by us and by 16001 4th September intend to take over maintenance of law and order from Japanese for City of Kowloon. On 5th September Japanese will be disarmed including officers Swords of Jap Gonoral and Admiral will be surrendered to me personally when surrender toras aro signed. It will not be possible to put Japs into prisoners cago until our own prisoners can bo ambarked in MPRESS OF AUSTRALIA.

3. Now territory. After that there will remain somo 2500 Japs in now torri tory who will have to be rounded up.
