For your confidential information, Prime Minister is asking President, in order to obviate any possibility of misunderstanding about Hong

Kong, on the part of the Japanese commanders concerned, to instruct the Allied Supreme Commander to order the Japanese High Command to ensure that the Japanese local commanders in Hong Kong shall surrender to the commander of the British naval force on his arrival.
