Your telegram No 576 to British Embassy Chungking.
resign Dickinson called today and states that he is returning from the mission and does not want to return to China but would welcome oppertunity of serving in Hongkong for a short period as proposed by Colonial Office.
2. He is under contract to Chinese Government until end of August and having been out here for 8 years would like short home leave before starting on work.
3. If terms offer could be sent to me and are acceptable to him, I suggest air passage to England early September should be secured for him and after settling details there he should proceed to Canada until required.
4. He will be away from Yunnanfu until middle of August..
