Your telegram No. 1566 [of 6th May: question of British subjects working for the Japanese].
Please ask Swiss Government to convey the gist of my telegram No. 940 to the managers of the Kailan Mining Administration and to add that as the production of coal is clearly essential to the Japanese war effort His Majesty's Government cannot but regard assistance given voluntarily by British subjects to this end as unpatriotic and reprehensible.
