(2) Rules made under this section shall be published in the Gazette and shall be laid as soon as conveniently may be before the Legislative Council; and if a resolu- tion of the Legislative Council is passed within the next subsequent three months after any such rule is laid before it, to the effect that such rule shall be annulled as from a specified date, such rule shall be void as from such date, but without prejudice to the validity of anything done under such rule prior to such date.
32. Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with any provision of this Ordinance or of any rule made thereunder, or who fails to comply with any lawful order given to him by the Immigration Officer, shall, if no penalty has otherwise been specially provided, be liable on conviction before a Police Court to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty dollars and in default of payment to imprisonment of either description for any term not exceeding three months.
33. The Immigration Officer and every Deputy and Assistant Immigration Officer shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of the Penal Code.
34. Any provisions of this Ordinance applying to to aircraft. ships shall apply to aircraft, with such modifications as may be prescribed by rules under section 31 for the purpose of adaptation.

35. The fees specified in Schedule A may be altered from time to time by a resolution of the Legislative Council, and the fees as altered shall come into force upon publication in the Gazette.
