30. (a) the general expenses incurred in connection with the office and staff of the Immigration Officer;
(b) the costs and charges incurred under this Ordinance in connection with the detention and repatriation of aliens;
(c) such other purposes as may from time to time be determined by resolution of the Legis- lative Council.
31. (1) The Governor in Council may make rules Power to for and in respect of all or any of the following purposes
or matters:
(a) prescribing such powers and duties of the Immigration Officer as shall be exercised and performed by his Deputies and Assistants; (b) prescribing the forms to be used under this
Ordinance;
(c) prescribing the terms under which duplicates may be issued in place of certificates of admission, certificates of residence or other documents which may have been lost, stolen or destroyed;
(d) prescribing the conditions under which Con- sular officers, and the masters and crews of ships may be exempted from any of the provisions of this Ordinance;
(e) prescribing any matter which under this Ordin- ance is required or permitted to be
prescribed;
(f) providing for the regulation and management of depôts established under section 16; (g) generally, in relation to any matters, whether similar or not to those above mentioned, as to which it is expedient to make rules for carrying into effect the objects of this Ordinance.
