Chinese immigration into Hong Kong.

An Immigration Control Bill has been drawn up to replace the Immigration and Passport Ordinance, 1934, by which it proposed to appoint immigration officers who will issue permits to Chinese entering Hong Kong, and reject any persons considered undesirable. The scheme is intended to control the influx of Chinese into Hong Kong, and the Foreign Office have agreed to the publication of the Bill for information at Hong Kong. The Colonial Office will consider the matter further before it becomes law.
