In the absence from Hong Kong of the Governor Sir 0, Northcote His Majesty has boen pleased to approve appointment of Hajor General E.F. Norton to administer the Government of the Colony.
Major General Norton is at present commanding the Western District in India and will take up the appointment in the near future. Ends,
