Military Attaché has discussed question unofficially with Diva ty
Australian Military Intelligence (Romitted officer] who considers that, although internment may not be required under international law and release of so small a number would make no difference to Japan, release at present would in fact cause outcry here and would be taken as another sign of unfriendly action by His Majesty's Government.
I agree with this view and feel that release now would be most undesirable. Question however could be reconsidered in
