Refers to Shanghai telegram no.119 (F 10595/3918/10) Encloses minutes of interview between His Majesty's Ambassador and Minister for Foreign Affairs at Chungking on 11th October at which Me. Wang referred to withdrawal of five gunboats and asked for information as to intention of His Majesty's Government regarding remainder of British forces in China, and Ambassador replied that decision to withdraw gunboats was taken in Registry 10th Nov. 1939 because some of the vessels and all personnel were
