Accommodation for Chinese soldiers interned in Hong Kong.
Transmits (1) copy Hong Kong despatch No.426 of 14th June reporting a gift of $200,000(Chinese) from the Chinese National Relief Commission. This will be used to construct a new camp for the interned Chinese soldiers whose present quarters will then be available for destitute women and children.(2) copy Hong Kong despatch No.488 of 12th July requesting approval for the additional expenditure of $33,000 (Hong Kong) in the construction of the camp (3) copy despatch to Hong Kong No.321 of 18th August giving approval.
