Vith reference to Colonial office letter
No: 7230/1/39 of the 22nd June, regarding the
suspected operation of a wireless transmitter by a
Chinese warship in Hong Yong harbour, I am directed
by Viscount Halifax to inform you that he approves of
the course of action suggested by the Lords Commissioners
of the Admiralty in their letter to the Colonial Office
No. X. 04339/39 of the 8th June.
2. Copies of this letter are being sent to the
Admiralty and General Post Office.
