Refers to Foreignoffice letter of 27th June (F 5085/3262/10). Explains that in the event of war no action is necessary as regards Chinese Indemnity scholars other than those in London University. Has written to the University enquiring what arrangements they have made for Chinese Indemnity scholars. Attaches list of Boxer Indemnity scholars now at London University. Suggests that the Universities China Committee should be consulted with regard to the engineering apprentices who have come to the United Kingdom under the auspices of the Federation of British Industries.
