Nanking little change. A ceremonial landing
party took part in His Majesty's birthday reception at the
British Consulate which was attended by all foreigners,

Government an attempt was made to poison the whole party.
Two Japanese consular officials died the remainder said to
be out of danger.

Misunderstandings about landing stores for
canteen are due to stringent orders to stop all British
goods arriving which is part of the anti British campaign,
this matter will probably be settled shortly.
