"ordinary banking business" is conducted from a branch

in Kowloon.

The Chinese Government Purchasing Commission in

Queen's Building is in charge of Mr. L.C. Su, who up till

about a year ago was also employed by the Central Trust.

He is the official purchasing agent for the South West

Transportation Company whose offices (four rooms) are in

Marina House. He is sometimes to be found there, and

sometimes in the four crowded offices of the Ministry of

Communications in Pedder Street. In Queen's Building he

occupies two fairly large rooms, which like most of the

other Chinese Government offices in Hongkong are crowded

to overflowing.

The Chinese Consular Invoice Office, described in

Item (1) of the enclosed list, is in charge of Mr. T.F.Tai.

His principal occupation is that of Chinese Passport

Officer, and he is generally in charge of all matters

relating to Chinese Diplomatic and Consular offices abroad

and payments to and from them.
