An important market for locally made knitted
goods is Siam. Reports have been received that
considerably increased duties are about to be introduced
there. This will seriously affect the industry here if
the duties apply to Hong Kong-manufactured goods. It
has, however, been reported that the duties apply only to Chinese goods.
TIN.
Approximately 75 tons of tin was refined in
local refineries during the past week.
No change in other industries previously
reported on.
