I have been into the question of the
Chinese orders for material in this country which
you mentioned in your letter of the 5th September.
The matter is now under urgent consideration by the
Service and Supply Departments and I can assure you
that we are bearing in mind its urgency from the
Chinese point of view and will do all that is
possible under the present circumstances to
facilitate the execution of these orders.
