Transmits copy Hong Kong telegram No.234 of 22nd August (repeated Shanghai No.89, Tokyo No.65) quoting gist of statement made by Japanese official spokesman at Canton on 20th August stating that because of discovery in Shamchun of several wireless stations for communication of information between Hong Kong and the interior and the construction of new motor roads along the railway it had been found necessary to cut all communication between Hong Kong and the interior.
