I am directed by Mr. Secretary MacDonald to
F 1779/1696/10 refer to Mr. Ronald's letter to Mr. Cowell of the 24th
of February, enclosing a draft of a telegram authorising
His Majesty's Ambassador in Tokyo to accept the
settlement of the Japanese aerial attack on the Hong-
Kong Leased Territories on the lines indicated in the
telegrams Nos. 173,174,175 and 176 from Sir R. Craigie to
the Foreign Office and to confirm that Mr. MacDonald
concurs in the terms of that telegram.
