West Indies.--As to British silver coins being declared not to be a legal tender for any sum exceeding 40s. in the West Indies; also expressing opinion of the Treasury that the question might arise whether there is any sanction except from usage which gives currency to British silver in the West Indies as an unlimited tender. Explains how the currency of the West Indies is regulated.
