(D.)-Electric Light.

13. The Colonial Defence Committee concur in the remarks of the Local Committee on this subject, except that they consider that the very decided increase of efficiency in the lighting of the Western Entrance which would result from placing two of the proposed lights at the foot of Mount Chermin outweighs the objection to occupying a new position.

(E.)-Armament.

14. The remarks under the heading of "Defence against Torpedo-boat Attack" with regard to proposals for new quick-firing and machine-guns apply also to heavy armament, and the Colonial Defence Committee do not propose now to reconsider this armament.
